Introduction

These terms and conditions govern your use of the Scrap My Car Fast website and services. By requesting a quote or using our scrap car collection service you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

Scrap My Car Fast is a scrap car collection and recycling service operating across Manchester and Greater Manchester. We are a licensed Waste Carrier and registered Scrap Metal Dealer operating in full compliance with the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013.

Our Services

Scrap My Car Fast provides the following services:

• Free instant online scrap car valuations
• Free vehicle collection from your home or specified location across Manchester and Greater Manchester
• Same day or next day payment for your vehicle
• Completion of all required DVLA documentation on your behalf
• Environmentally responsible disposal of your vehicle at an authorised treatment facility

Quotes and Pricing

All quotes provided via our website or over the phone are based on the information you supply. Quotes are subject to the following conditions:

• The vehicle must match the description provided at the time of quoting
• All four wheels and tyres must be present unless otherwise agreed
• The vehicle must not have been stripped of valuable components including catalytic converters, batteries or engines unless disclosed prior to quoting
• We reserve the right to revise the quoted price if the vehicle condition differs materially from the description provided
• Quotes are valid for 48 hours from the time of issue and are subject to current scrap metal market prices

Collection

When we collect your vehicle you agree to:

• Ensure you are the legal owner of the vehicle or have authority to sell it on behalf of the owner
• Provide valid photographic identification at the time of collection as required under the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013
• Provide the vehicle logbook (V5C) where available
• Ensure the vehicle is accessible at the agreed collection location
• Remove all personal belongings from the vehicle prior to collection

We cannot accept cash payments under any circumstances in compliance with the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013. All payments are made by bank transfer.

Payment

Payment is made by bank transfer to the account details you provide. We aim to process payment on the same day as collection. We accept no liability for delays caused by incorrect bank details being provided. It is your responsibility to ensure the bank details you provide are accurate.

Cancellation

You may cancel a booked collection at any time prior to our driver departing for the collection location. If you cancel after our driver has departed we reserve the right to charge a reasonable call-out fee to cover fuel and time costs.

Your Obligations

By using our services you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years of age
• You are the registered keeper or legal owner of the vehicle being scrapped, or you have written authority from the owner
• All information you provide is accurate and complete
• The vehicle is not subject to any outstanding finance agreements unless otherwise disclosed
• The vehicle has not been reported as stolen

Limitation of Liability

Scrap My Car Fast shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of our services. Our total liability to you in connection with any service shall not exceed the value of the payment made to you for your vehicle.

We do not accept liability for any personal belongings left in the vehicle at the time of collection. Please ensure all personal items are removed before our driver arrives.

Website Use

The content on our website is provided for general information purposes only. While we take care to ensure the information is accurate and up to date, we make no warranties regarding its completeness or accuracy. Scrap metal prices fluctuate and quoted prices on the website are indicative only.

Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. The most current version will always be available on this page. Your continued use of our services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
