Yes. Once you notify the DVLA that your car has been scrapped, they will automatically issue a refund for any complete months of road tax remaining on your vehicle. The refund is sent by cheque to the registered keeper's address within around 6 weeks.

Yes, we handle all DVLA paperwork on your behalf when we collect your vehicle. We will issue you with a Certificate of Destruction which is an official DVLA document confirming your car has been legally scrapped. You should also notify the DVLA yourself using the yellow section of your V5C or online at gov.uk.

You do not need your V5C to scrap your car with us, however it does make the process easier. If you do not have your logbook we may ask for additional ID. Not having a V5C will not affect your quote or the price you receive for your car.

On collection day please have your photo ID ready (driving licence or passport), your car keys, your V5C logbook if you have it, any service history and your reference number from your quote. Please remove all personal belongings from the vehicle before our team arrives.
